Editing

 

I offer editing and manuscript review services for every stage of the fiction writing process. I recommend meeting with clients first to discuss their specific needs which may include story development, structural changes, or more detailed craft-level work such as pacing scenes, sharpening dialogue, or creating atmosphere.

I charge $3 per page (double spaced). My feedback includes line item notes, a written narrative diagnostic, and two virtual meetings where we can have in-depth conversations about your work.

I have an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and I’ve been teaching writing at the university level for 18 years. My creative writing students come away with a better understanding of their work and their process. Often they experience renewed excitement for their current project. My goal is to tailor our process to fit your current needs.
